TEXT 1 Thessalonians 5.23 ESV

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From what sources is your soul inspired or driven forward?

Psalm 19.7 ESVThe law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

Hebrews 6.19 ESVWe have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain…

What investments are you making toward the goal of a healthy soul?

Psalm 23.3 ESVHe restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalm 63.10 ESVGod, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Are there relationships you are cultivating in order to mutually build up your souls? Are there toxic relationships that you are working to minimize or eliminate altogether?

Ecclesiastes 4.9-12 ESVTwo are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

What influences your soul toward spiritual growth and vitality? What influences you on a path toward self-destruction?

Lamentations 3.24-25 ESV“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

Psalm 103.1-2 ESVBless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits
