Beatitudes Series | CFA | Pastor Tracy Cook
TEXT Matthew 5.7 ESV
7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Mercy is to be actively compassionate. It is grace in action.
- MERCY IS TO THINK ABOUT OTHERS THE WAY GOD THINKS ABOUT THEM.
- MERCY IS TO FEEL ABOUT OTHERS THE WAY GOD FEELS ABOUT YOU.
- MERCY IS TO BEHAVE TOWARD OTHERS THE WAY GOD BEHAVES TOWARD THEM.
Your autobiography is penned by your thoughts, feelings, and actions toward others.
Micah 6.8 NKJ
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to
love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Titus 3.5 ESV
5 …he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy,
by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit…
